When you’re doubting yourself, or your ability to do something, you are judging yourself.
“I’m not sure if I can do this/achieve this”
“Would I be able to do this?”
“Do I really have it in me to do this?”
All of that is you judging you!
And here’s why this is important: True creation occurs when you’re NOT judging. So whatever is the project or the goal that you’re working towards – you’ll find, you’re your most productive & your most creative when you’re totally present with it.
But when you’re judging yourself, that judgement takes precedence and cuts off your awareness & energy form the very work you want to get done, the very goal you’d like to achieve.
So, how do you move beyond self-judgment and get into creation-mode?
Here’s one simple way –
By asking better questions. From a place of ‘wonderment’.
I wonder what’s right about all this I am not getting?
I wonder what’s right about ‘me’ I’m not getting?
What is the gift here?
What are the greater possibilities?
Here’s the thing, whatever you look out for – you will find.
Mostly our inner dialogues are so self-debilitating. And then we find all the ‘reasons’ to validate & justify that. It’s a self-fulfilling prophecy, folks!
But what if there is another possibility here… where instead of judging yourself on an auto-pilot, you intentionally choose to look at all the ‘rightness’ of you and your situation… and start looking at the gifts and possibilities that are available for you.
It’s a total game changer! ….and it all starts with a different question.
So I encourage you to play with the above 4 questions this week… and when I say play, I mean it! Bring out your child-like wonderment and start by being curious around it.
You’ll notice that at the very least these questions lift you up & out of the heavy doubt-energy and into the lightness of greater possibilities.
And guess where you’ll create more from? 🙂
So come on… try it and tell me all about your experience with it! I can’t wait to hear from you! xx
